Hamish Carter to come out of Retirement for Auckland ITU Triathlon on November 20
Olympic Games gold medallist Hamish Carter doesn’t do things by half, he doesn’t take on challenges light heartedly, so when he says he is ‘coming out of retirement’ to compete in a triathlon for the first time in over 6 years, you know he must be serious. Carter announced today that he would dust off the cobwebs from the bike and see if he can still fit into the wetsuit (he’ll have no problems) to race at the Barfoot & Thompson ITU Triathlon World Cup in Auckland on November 20, with the event hub at The Cloud on Queens Wharf.
Noosa Triathlon won by David Dellow and Melissa Rollison
As predicted Melissa Rollison was the one to beat in Noosa in the weekend and the current world 70.3 champion did not disappoint. After coming out of the water over 2:40 behind she won by 48 seconds. David Dellows was the surprise winner in the mens after out running the one of the favourites Paul Matthews, James Sear and Clayton Fettell.

Clayton Fettell and Ellie Salthouse win Race One of the Gatorade Queensland Triathlon Series
Queensland Olympic distance champion Clayton Fettell and Brisbane’s Ellie Salthouse claimed victory at Race 1 of the Gatorade Queensland Tri Series in sensational racing conditions at Raby Bay this morning. Fettell dominated the field and showed no signs of redemption in the super sprint distance format remaining out of sight from the lead pack of males, from the start to the finish of the race. Brisbane’s Ellie Salthouse claimed victory in the open female category placing in front of Brisbane girls Bonnie Atherton and Holly Grice.
