Abu Dhabi International Triathlon – Australian Results and Video
Josh Rix was one of 7 Australian pros who completed the 2011 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon. There were 14 starters and with the tough conditions and it being one of the first major races for many in 2011 we saw many pull out during the race due to a number of reasons. Overall race times were slower than last year with the winner Frederik Van Lierde finishing almost 7 mins slower than last year when he placed 5th overall.

Craig Alexander and Chris McCormack to go Head to Head in Abu Dhabi International Triathlon
Ironman world champions and legends of triathlon – Australia’s Chris ‘Macca’ McCormack and Craig ‘Crowie’ Alexander – have both thrown their hats in the ring for next month’s Abu Dhabi International Triathlon, as they look to go head-to-head for the lion’s share of the US$250,000 prize purse. And with the fearsome twosome having dominated the Hawaii Ironman for the past four years, with McCormack winning in 2010 and 2007 and Alexander in 2008 and 2009, the chasing elite field will need to be in superlative form to tame the energy-infused Antipodeans.
2011 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon Open for Entry
The 2011 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon is officially open for registration today, July 1st 2010. The event, which has been described in many quarters as ‘an instant classic’, will return to the United Arab Emirates’ capital city on March 12th 2011.
