Paul Ambrose and Christie Sym win Ironman 70.3 Racine
This weekends Triathlon action across all distances has been a Golden one for Australians with Paul Ambrose claiming top spot, and Christie Sym finally fulfilling her potential by topping the leader board at Ironman 70.3 Racine. The good news for the green and gold does not stop there with Tim Berkel claiming second spot in the mens race and Michelle Wu third in the woman’s race.
Paul Ambrose, Guy Crawford, Michelle Wu and Kate Bevilaqua place well at Boise 70.3 Triathlon
Paul Ambrose, Guy Crawford, Michelle Wu and Kate Bevilaqua all raced and placed highly in a very competitive field. The men’s race was a tight affair with only 20mins separating the top 14 guys. Winner Ben Hoffman of the USA put in the bike of the day with a 2:05. The women’s race was a Canada 1-2-3 with Magali Tisseyre coming first with a more consistant bike/run combo over her compatriots Heather Wurtele and Rachel McBride. Ironman 70.3 Boise and Ironman 70.3 Eagleman Previews
The Ironman 70.3 series is well and truly underway in the US and this weekend sees a swag of top Aussie pros in action at Boise and Eagleman. Flying the flag for Australia will be Craig Alexander, Paul Ambrose, Richie Cunningham, Courtney Ogden, Mirinda Carfrae, Kate Bevilaqua and Michelle Wu.
