Lisa Marangon has confirmed that she will be racing in Hervey Bay where she will be going up against Rachael Paxton and 2004 Athens Olympian and Commonwealth Games silver medalist Rina Hill in the relaunched 2XU Hervey Bay Olympic distance triathlon. With over $25,000 in cash and prizes on offer it is a wonder more of our top triathletes who are not racing at Port Macquarie on the same day are not racing.

Noosa Triathlon Entires to Re-open Tuesday 8th June
Such was the demand for places at the 28th Noosa Triathlon that the server crashed when the site opened for entries, leaving thousands frustrated. USM believes it has now resolved the issues and set a new date for entries opening.
Noosa Triathlon set to sell out within hours of opening
It seems nowadays that all the major Triathlon events in Australia sell out shortly after opening, forcing athletes to be ultra organised in their race plans, and to commit months in advance of the actual event. The iconic olympic distance Noosa Triathlon, now in it’s 28th year looks set to follow this trend when online entries open at 9.00am on Tuesday 1st June, despite their being over 7,000 places up for grabs.

10 Seconds separated Greg Bennett and Craig Alexander at the end but it wasn’t enough for either to edge out eventual winner Cameron Dye. Dye out swum and out rode both Bennett and Alexander but was almost 2 minutes slower over the 10km run.
Mirinda Carfrae 2nd at St Anthony’s Olympic Distance Triathlon in Florida – Top 15 Women’s Results
USA’a Sarah Haskins edged out Australia’s Mirinda Carfrae to win the St Anthony’s triathlon in St Petersburg, Florida. Haskins recently finsihed 8th in the Sydney round of the Dextro Enegry Triathlon ITU World Championship. Carfrae is focusing on long distance currently and recently won the Rohto Ironman 70.3 in California.
