Luke Bell to race 2XU Falls Creek Triathlon Australian Long Course Championship
SuperSprint Events has announced that Luke Bell has confirmed he will race in next year’s 2XU Falls Creek Triathlon. Bell who just recently won the Ironman 70.3 Lake Stevens in the States. Bell who started his triathlon career in Melbourne has had a very successful career racing overseas in Half Ironman/ Ironman 70.3 and Ironman events. He has won over 20 major events including the following Half/70.3 events – Hawaii, Cancun, Kansas, Vineman, Eagleman, Bufflowsprings and the recent Lake Stevens.
Victorian Gatorade Triathlon Series 2011/12
SuperSprint Events are excited to launch the Gatorade Triathlon Series 2011/12, incorporating the Active Feet Fun Tri Series. They have announced a new race to the Series at Brighton and a Long Course event at Portarlington. Both series provide a fun and challenging event for first timers through to seasoned age groupers and an elite field of world class athletes.
2XU Falls Creek Triathlon – 11 February 2012 – 2km/80km/20km
Entries have opened for the 2012 2XU Falls Creek Triathlon. After a successful debut in 2011 SuperSprint are ready to go again in February next year. Falls Creek sets the scene for a great weekend holiday with exceptionally accommodation and activities for not only triathletes, but for their friends and family. Last year’s winners Leon Griffin and Madeleine Oldfield have both confirmed that they will be there in 2012.
Beijing Olympian Erin Densham, and 2012 London Olympic hopeful Brenden Sexton win Gatorade St Kilda triathlon
Beijing Olympian Erin Densham, and 2012 London Olympic hopeful Brenden Sexton took the line honours against the Series’ strongest fields this season. Sexton managed to hold off Victorian Institute of Sport’s Peter Kerr, Gatorade Portarlington winner Craig McKenzie and Jimmy Johnsen of Denmark. Undefeated so far in the series, Madeleine Oldfield finally was pushed in to second place by Densham.
