Andy Potts Wins 2010 New Orlean’s Ochsner Ironman 70.3 Triathlon – Top 100 Male Results

Champions overcome both hot conditions and a strong field to take 2010 title in New Orleans.

Andy Potts led from start to finish, while  Samantha Warriner used the days fastest run split to take the titles at Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans.

After leading out of the water, Potts, the 2007 Foster Grant Ironman 70.3 World Champion put together the day’s second fastest bike split and fastest run split to claim the title, crossing the line more than 3:30 ahead of Terenzo Bozzone and over six minutes up on Paul Amey.

Torrenzo managed to slip ahead of Potts out of T2 but Andy had his running legs on today and was just too good.

Dirk Bockel, 5th, said on his  Twitter ‘tough day…legs weren’t good at all. Lots of suffering and jogging down the last 10k. sorry folks, not my day’.
