Craig Alexander and Mirinda Carfrae win Quassy Half Ironman Triathlon 2010 – Results

Trizone readers… Nerida Alexander sent us through this and the links to the race reports and video. There is also a You Tube video below from the race. Footage is not 100% but it will give you a good feel for the race. Also the top 200 results are at the end of the article.

Also Richie Cunningham was 7th overall.

Hi,

Craig won what is considered the biggest half Ironman in the world outside the world championships on the weekend in Conneticut. Terenzo Bozzone from NZ was second and Matt Reed third. In the womens race, Mirinda Carfrae from Australia won the womens race in a stacked field also.

The full story can be found on Slowtwitch and some photos and a race report at Competitor Triathlon. There is a video on Competitor Triathlon.

Craig heads off next weekend to the Boise IM 70.3 triathlon to once again go head to head with Chris Lieto. It was this race last year that provided us with one of the most exciting finishes in the sport and some amazing photos of the final sprint finish.

Stay tuned for more of the same.
Nerida
