Grape Ride AustraliaThe Mudgee wine region; most commonly attracts wine enthusiasts, and those attempting to escape the city grind. But what better way to experience the vineyards of the Mudgee wine region than cycling through them. On the 13th of November, cyclists will descend on the NSW wine region to take part in the inaugural Grape Ride Australia.

The two distances of 104km or 46km provides the perfect opportunity for both competitive and novice cyclists to take part in the event and to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the winery region, a challenge in the ride and enjoyment from the fine food and wine that will be make this event truly unique on the Australian cycling events calendar.

This event has been designed to encourage all cycling enthusiasts to take part, with a variety of racing categories from ‘speed bunnies’ to tandem bicycles to even a ‘Vintage’ category where the age of the bike has to be greater than 45 years old.

Grape Ride AustraliaA number of great partners have come onboard in providing fantastic prizes to be given away throughout the course of the day including 2 Merida road bikes each worth over $1,500 for those keen cyclists, and for those lured to wine region more so for the grapes and festivities there lots of restaurant and holiday prizes to be won.  Blue Wren Winery, at the conclusion of the event will provide lunch for all participants, along with products and vouchers provided by Shotz, Phiten, Merida, Kouki and Bicycling Australia plus many more surprises to make this truly a great event.

The Grape Ride Australia has also teamed up with Can Assist as the event charity partner to help raise funds for this wonderful charity – with $5.00 from every entry going to the charity.
