Joe Gambles takes us through his Port Macquarie 70.3 Triathlon win

Australian Joe Gambles has cemented himself as one of the world’s leading long distance triathletes. He specialises in Ironman 70.3 but last year also slipped in a course record when he won Ironman Wisconsin in his first attempt at the distance. The 2011 Port Macquarie Ironman 70.3 was the first time Joe has raced in Australia in a long time.

Up and Coming Triathlete Luke Gillmer to make his Professional Debut at Port Macquarie 70.3

Making his 70.3 debut as a professional this weekend at Port Macquarie is Luke Gillmer. Luke has been meticulously planning this since coming back in to triathlons in 2006. After starting triathlons in Dubbo at the age of 14 and continuing until 18 Luke fell in love with the sport. At 18yrs university came around and no more triathlons happened until 2006 when he was challenged to do the Port Macquarie half ironman. This race took Luke just over 6 ½ hours.
