Cameron Dye and Lisa Norden win Los Angeles Triathlon

Lisa Norden has continued her recent good form with a solid win at the Los Angeles Triathlon finishing almost four minutes ahead of second placed Jodie Stimpson. Norden recently won the rich Hy-Vee triathlon banking USD$151,500 for the victory. Australian Annabel Luxford finished in fourth place. Cameron Dye took out the men’s race with a very fast bike split that gave him the gap he needed to hold out a faster finishing Greg Bennett. Tim Reed raced solidly for sixth overall and Matthew Pellow finished 12th amongst the male pros.

Lisa Norden wins $151,500 Hy-Vee Triathlon 5150 US Championship

Lisa Norden ran in to 1st place to take the $151,000 first prize at the Hy-Vee Triathlon 5151 US Championship today. Coached by Australian Darren Smith, Lisa Norden had a mixed ITU season this year. A self confessed late starter in the season has peaked at the right time. Australian triathlete and current world ironman champion Mirinda Carfrae was devasting in second position with ITU specilaist Sarah Haskins from the USA finishing in 3rd.

Former Ironman World Champion Michellie Jones and ITU World Number 3 Lisa Norden to headline Sydney Sprint Series at Kurnell

In what is arguably the hottest female field to be assembled at Kurnell in a long time former Ironman World Champion, Olympic silver medallist and two times ITU world champion Michellie Jones, current world ITU number 3 Lisa Norden, Lisa Marangon, Matilda Raynolds, Anel Stewart and up and coming age grouper Laura Siddall will be racing for overall honours on Sunday.
