Australia 7th and 11th at the ITU World Teams Triathlon Championship in Lausanne

Australia has come from behind to claim a top ten finish in the ITU World Teams Triathlon Championship in Lausanne tonight – finishing seventh in the event that looks almost certain to be included in the 2016 Olympic Games. Their seventh place came after being well back early with Australia’s second team of Felicity Abram, Peter Kerr, Felicity Sheedy-Ryan and Mitch Robins finishing in 13th place.

Mitch Robins wins Holten ITU Triathlon Premium European Cup

Holten was a good race for the Australians in the weekend. Mitch Robins came a way with the win, Ryan Bailie had a great race as well with a 6th place. One minute in the run was the only distance between Mitch and Ryan. Nick Kastelein was 14th, Jesse Featonby was 16th and Tim George finished in 46th place.

Behind the Scenes at the Zoggs Photo Shoot

This past November, Blinq Photography worked with Zoggs to come up with a few shots that really show off what these goggles can do for professional triathletes. While the shoot, featuring Mitch Robins and Craig Withers, was on they took a behind the scenes video showing what is involved in a photo session like this and showcasing the gear used.

triseries Huskisson Pro Series Race Report and Results

The Huskisson round of the pro series was won by Mitch Robins and Lisa Marangon. Scott Llewellyn was 2nd with Daudi Somi taking 3rd. In the women’s race Regina Wright was 2nd with Siobhan McCarthy 3rd. In this report we speak to rising star Siobhan McCarthy and also Mitch Robins give us a review of the weekend.

Nepean Triathlon – Tim Reed Previews the Male Pro Field

Tim Reed, second at the recent SiS Half Ironman in Port Macquarie, previews the guys race at this weekend’s Nepean Triathlon. There is a cracking field and it looks like four possible winners with a couple of potential surprises if there has been some secret training going on. This will be an exciting race and if you live in Sydney and are not racing then get out to Penrith and watch an exciting race format with some of the top triathletes in Australia.

Mitch Robins on his first big win – The 2010 SiS Half Ironman Port Macquarie

Mitch Robins had his breakthrough major event win at the 2010 SiS Half Ironman in Port Macquarie. He led from start to finish with the fastest times in all three disciplines. Even with a tough head wind for half of the run he still posted a fast 1:17 for the half marathon. Mitch couldn’t stop smiling all day after the win and winning his first major in his home town added to the experience for him.

Mitch Robins wins 2010 SiS Port Macquarie Half Ironman Triathlon

Mitch Robins has taken out the 2010 SiS Port Macquarie Half Ironman from Tim Reed and local hero Tim Berkel for his first pro win in a time of 3:59:09. Mitch’s run was just too fast on on the day and Tim Reed lost just over a minute to Mitch after keeping pace with him in the swim and bike.

Mitch Robins takes out round 2 and 3 of the NSW Protour

The 2nd and 3rd Round of the NSW Protour series was held over the weekend at Gunnedah, including the NSW Time Trial Championships on Saturday, a unique event including a 1km swim time trial in the morning, followed by a 20km bike TT at lunch, and finishing with a 5km timed run on the track. These 3 times are then added together to find the overall winner for the day, and the 2nd round of the Protour. The Sunday morning we raced again over the Sprint Distance, and I’m sure everyone who backed up felt the effects of a hard day on Saturday.
