The 2013 Ironman Australia is underway with all competitors now out on the bike course. Luke Bell was upstaged in the swim leg by surf ironman Ben Squiers but it wasn’t long before Bell had the race back under control on the bike.
Bell is riding faster than the rest of the field heading out to the first turnaround.
Nicole Ward used her swim to get a gap on the other pro females but by the first turnaround Tamsyn Hayes and Rebecca Hoschke had caught her and we will now see an exciting race unfold.
Matty Harris was loving the prospect of racing. Can’t wait to see him on the run later today.
