2012 Great Britain Olympian Stuart Hayes together with British National Champion Emma Pallant are confirmed entrants in the 2015 Atmosphere Nepean Triathlon. These two are set to challenge the elite line up for the podium finishes and $76,500 prize money on offer. It may come down to these two challenging each other for outright victory!
The Atmosphere Nepean Triathlon has held a guys vs gals handicap award in recent years. This gives an outright winners prize each year to the first across the line. This has resulted in some exciting finishes, in particular the one in 2012 with Australian Courtney Atkinson and Netherlands Olympian Rachel Klamer.
The handicap is calculated each year and is the average difference between the first male and first female over the past 5 years. The handicap is now down to 9 minutes 54 seconds with the leading male and female racing each other for the bonus $2000.
