The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has unveiled an impressive start list for the inaugural PTO Asian Open men’s race, slated for 20 August in Singapore. Heading the pack are PTO World #1 Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR), #2 Gustav Iden (NOR), and #3 Magnus Ditlev (DEN). However, the Australian duo of PTO World #5 Max Neumann and Aaron Royle are primed to leave their mark in this maiden event.

The elite 20-athlete field comprises the top seven men from the PTO ranks, setting the stage for an intensely competitive race. Leading Australia's charge are Neumann and Royle, both eager to make their presence felt on this global stage.

Max Neumann has been in splendid form recently, showcasing his incredible talent and determination. His performance at the inaugural PTO Tour race of the season in Ibiza in May was nothing short of sensational. Neumann dominated a formidable lineup, including the world #1 Kristian Blummenfelt, to claim victory in a nail-biting finish.

Reflecting on his performance in Ibiza, Neumann said, "That win was the biggest of my career to date. The feeling of outpacing some of the world's best athletes was exhilarating. It has given me a renewed sense of confidence that I hope to carry into the upcoming races."

About the upcoming race, Neumann added, "Having another opportunity to back it up in Singapore against all the best athletes in the world is one I’m looking forward to. I believe in maintaining freshness, avoiding over racing and over training. It’s a hard balance to master, but I’ve not raced since Ibiza and have put in some solid training blocks in Australia, similar to what I did ahead of my win.”

Aaron Royle, another Australian powerhouse, currently ranked 9th in the world by PTO, will also be a contender to watch in Singapore. Known for his tenacity and endurance, Royle's performances have consistently placed him in the top ten in international events. His inclusion in the PTO Asian Open strengthens Australia's representation in this globally significant race.

The PTO Asian Open, with its constellation of world-class triathletes, is gearing up to be a captivating spectacle. With the likes of Max Neumann and Aaron Royle in the running, Australian fans will have much to look forward to in Singapore.
