Batemans Bay Triathlon Festival – Olympic Distance, Sprint and Enticer

The Batemans Bay Triathlon Festival kicks off next weekend (April 2-3). This is the first time Elite Energy have put on a triathlon festival in Batemans Bay. Just four hours south of Sydney this is a spectacular place to race. The beach where the races are held is stunning and the ride and run are equally as nice. The run in particual sees the field running along a board walk for a part of the run past cafes and people. This will give the event a big feel.

From the swim leg at Corrigan’s Beach that overlooks the Tollgate Islands, cycling alongside the beach of Malua Bay, running the boardwalk along the river passing spectators in the vibrant waterfront cafes – it should make for a very inspiring race.

Elite Energy have a reputation for putting on triathlon weekends in some of the most spectacular places in NSW. Forster, Huskisson, Callala and Nowra have all had rounds of the triseries this season.

Points are awarded for the races with series honours up for grabs. This series has seen some of the best Olympic and sprint distance triathletes in NSW racing. There is an open race in each of the two main events which has seen athletes like Aaron Royle, Sam Douglas, Michael Hox, James Davy, Shane Farrant, Ben Hammond, Matthew Pellow, Robert Hurley, Lindsey Wall, Lisa Marangon, Nicole Ward, Matilda Raynolds, Mick Maroney, Siobhan McCarthy, Tara Prowse, Luara Siddall and more racing in each event.
