Delly Carr’s awesome new race wheels

One of the nicest, funniest and coolest guys in the sport of triathlon is Delly Carr. Some of you may not know him by name but all of you have seen his photos at some stage from the ITU and Ironman races he covers around the world.

Delly has recently been honoured once again. This time you with an Ambassadorship with Thule Australia. Being part of the Triathlon and cycling world you have seen the quality goods they produce such as their Bike Carriers, Roof Racks and Roof Boxes. You may or may not be aware they also make Camera Bags and Cases, Luggage, as well as Cases for Laptops, Tablets, and Phones.

Thule paid Delly a very heartwarming honour by rolling out a Thule ‘Photoninja’ K1200GT at Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Port Macquarie on the weekend. “It is branded with my now infamous photoninja persona . It will be my official raceday motorcycle transport for all nominated Triathlons for the coming summer. The K1200GT is classed as the pinnacle of all premium motorbikes.”

This is such a great concept to honour the effort Delly has put into this sport that we love for over 25 years.

Delly was given the photoninja tag by Phil Wrochna and Tim Bradley. It is a persona which has now spread so quickly amongst the World Triathlon Scene, Cycling fraternity, and Australian Swimming Sporting Community. Some young swimmers only know him as ‘the photoninja’ and not by his real name !
