2023 IRONMAN TriClub Championship Series will include ten events across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania regions
IRONMAN announced its 2023 global IRONMAN TriClub Championship Series which includes ten events across multiple regions around the world: the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Oceania. The series includes eight half-distance IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons and two full-distance IRONMAN® triathlons, all of which will include localized experiences customized for IRONMAN TriClub members, in addition to highlighting and supporting the local community of athletes.
The TriClub Championship events will also feature exclusive benefits including welcome parties, custom welcome gifts, exclusive course previews, enhanced TriClub villages, custom TriClub awards, and elevated TriClub awards ceremonies.
Introduced in 2012, the IRONMAN TriClub Program is designed to help triathlon clubs drive membership, provide networking opportunities, build community, and create a sense of friendly competition. Throughout the year, participating clubs earn points every time their athletes cross an IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 finish line. Each club is assigned to a division based on the club’s membership size. The club in each division that accumulates the greatest number of points by the end of the calendar year receives the title of IRONMAN TriClub World Champion.
“TriClubs are a fundamental piece of the IRONMAN and greater triathlon community, and the TriClub Championship events foster unique environments for regional friendly competition,” said Casey Taker, Global Director of Athlete Development for The IRONMAN Group. “The thousands of IRONMAN TriClubs around the world have created a global support network for IRONMAN athletes and their lifestyle. The IRONMAN TriClub Championship Series is an opportunity to celebrate these clubs, the culture and tradition they bring to the sport of triathlon, and the idea of universal connectivity through a common language, IRONMAN racing.”
The global IRONMAN TriClub Championship Series is the pinnacle of the IRONMAN TriClub Program. Globally, all clubs registered with the IRONMAN TriClub program can compete for the ultimate prize – being crowned an IRONMAN TriClub Champion. Along with featuring exclusive benefits and a unique local experience, the Championship events provide the chance to compete against other clubs.
