Move for Mark – Sunday 13th November, Wollongong
As many of you would be aware, Mark Scott – a well known and respected athlete and triathlon coach was seriously injured when hit by a car during a training ride in Wollongong in June this year. Mark suffered serious head injuries and to date remains in a coma. His family and closest friends remain by his side.
We have gathered for this good cause to organise an event in which to allow the triathlon and local communities to provide their support for Mark, his wife, Lauren, and their one year old son, Oscar.
The event will be named ‘Move For Mark’ and we will be hosting a 5 kilometre Fun Run/Walk and family picnic day to raise funds to assist with Mark’s care and ongoing needs. The event is being held at Stuart Park, North Wollongong. Please refer to the website www.scottendurance.com.au/moveformark/ for further information. Due to an already overwhelming amount of support and interest we anticipate there to be a large turn out on the day – we look forward to seeing you there!
Place: Stuart Park, North Wollongong
Date: Sunday 13th November
Time: 8am onwards
It would be great to see as many of you there as possible. Whether you use it as a race or simply to come down and show your support to a great cause, it’s up to you, the more the better. Also, the committee has been shown fantastic support in the way of prizes to be auctioned and as part of random draw raffle, but if you are able to help with this please contact me at aprice10@hotmail.com or to donate please follow the links on the website: www.scottendurance.com.au/moveformark/
It will be a great day and we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
