London Olympics bronze medallist and now world No. 1 ranked ITU female triathlete, Erin Densham along with Australian Olympian Brendan Sexton are the early race favourites in the Gulf Western Oil Nepean Triathlon. Erin, who is currently in the US is excited to come back to Australia to race in her home state and has also offered to publicise the Nepean race to lift the profile both here and overseas. Brendan, who won the Nepean in 2011 is coming back in an attempt to win his second Nepean title. “I love the guys verses gals handicap concept” Brendan said. “Last years photo finish between Courtney Atkinson and Denmark Olympian Rachel Klamer was one of the most exciting finishes I have seen in the sport. Hopefully this year’s finish will be just as close” he added.
