There is a Half Ironman race in Port Macquarie this year… there seems to be a lot of misinformation, and confusion, over the new race format for next year’s Ironman Australia.
Port Macquarie will be hosting their final event, which will be part of the Australian Half Ironman series. We have a new naming rights sponsor on board, SiS (Science In Sport), which will take over from Scody. Naturally, with SiS having their background and nutritional supplements, we will have their energy drink, and gels on the course.
The race will be on October 31, 2010, and entries are now open.
For the lucky competitors that were able to secure their entry into Ironman Australia, and the Ironman 70.3 which will be held in Port Macquarie on May 1, 2011, this will be a good opportunity to familiarise themselves with our course. And for the unlucky athletes who missed out, this is an open event with plenty of spaces available at this time.
