PTO US Open to Take Place in Milwaukee Alongside USA Triathlon National Championships in August 2023
PTO US Open and USA Triathlon National Championships to take place in Milwaukee, drawing thousands of participants and spectators for one of the largest triathlon weekends in North America.
The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and USA Triathlon have announced that the PTO US Open will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 4th and 5th, 2023. The event will be held in partnership with Sports Milwaukee and is expected to attract over 7,000 participants and 20,000 spectators, making it one of the largest triathlon weekends in North America.
The course, designed around Milwaukee's waterfront, will host the world's top male and female professional triathletes as they compete for the PTO US Open title over the 100km PTO Tour distance. Athletes will swim in Lake Michigan and bike and run through scenic locations such as Lincoln Memorial Drive and Veterans Park.
PTO CEO Sam Renouf stated that partnering with USA Triathlon in Milwaukee will provide a great backdrop for the PTO US Open and enthusiastic support for the athletes.
