Specialized Shiv TT Bike with Internal Bladder System
The down tube has a 4:1 cross section which makes it very aero and enables enough room for an internal bladder system.
New S-Works Shiv – It is way out of the box – doesn’t conform to any UCI rules and is one of the first big production TT bikes to do so.
In short:
The down tube has a 4:1 cross section which makes it very aero and
enables enough room for an internal bladder system – it rocks I’ve been
riding one all week. The bike is the fastest by far and most stable in
cross winds – you notice it’s windy, but you don’t feel it at all. The
reason is the wide down tube which moves the centre of pressure rearward
stabilising the bike. It’s the most adjustable and easiest to fit
“super bike” – in fact it’s the only adjustable and easy to fit
super bike.
They are able to run an internal bladder because the
FACT IS carbon layup means the bike is super smooth internally so the
bladder doesn’t get stuck or tear. Comes in 5 different sizes so will
fit small women all the way up to big guys with no compromise to fit.
So specialized has built a tri only bike, by triathletes for
triathletes. They are way out in front in this one and the aero bike
with internal bladder is going to be available at every level -S-Works,
Pro with SRAN Red down to a Rival spec.
