Tim Reed Third at New York City 5150 Triathlon
Tim Reed has continued his good form with a third at the New York City 5150 triathlon over the weekend. The 5150 series is a new format run by WTC who own the Ironman brand. The 5150 refers to the distance which is Oympic distance. Also racing in NYC was Joshua Amberger, Jason Shortis and Greg Benne
Tim Reed has continued his good form with a third at the New York City 5150 triathlon over the weekend. The 5150 series is a new format run by WTC who own the Ironman brand. The 5150 refers to the distance which is Oympic distance.
Tim is running incredibly well and used this pace to run himself in to third place after coming out of the water over half a minute behind the leaders and riding a couple of minutes slower than the quickest bike times. Tim has had some challenges with managing his asthma in the swim this season in the USA.
Tim is focused on the rich Hy-Vee Olympic distance triathlon coming up soon. First prize is $250,000. Emma Snowsill and Great Britain’s Tim Don won it last year.
Also racing in NYC was Joshua Amberger, Jason Shortis and Greg Bennett. Bennett was second overall, Amberger was seventh and Shortis showed that he has some speed left in him for 15th overall.
