Daniel Unger and Olympic gold medalist Jan Frodeno, both of Germany, James Elvery of New Zealand and Chris Foster of the USA all crashed on the 3rd to last corner of the last bike lap.

Unger, Frodeno and Foster all managed to get back on their bikes with Foster losing the least amount of time.

James Elvery could not restart and was holding his left arm. It looks okay and he was smiling once he realised his bike was not broken.

Frodeno took the longest to get back on with chain problems.

Foster went down on his own but the other three were all involved in the same incident.
