Ironman Western Australia, taking place on Sunday, Dec. 5, will soon be sold out. Only 200 places remain for the 2010 event, with entries being snapped up at a record pace across Australia and the world.

The race, held in the beachside town of Busselton, is becoming a hit for international competitors with large contingents already on the way from the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Over the coming weeks, a number of course announcements will be made, including the availability of course maps on the official website.
The three-lap bike course in Busselton is world famous for being flat and fast, and 2010 is no exception, with the event set to continue as the destination for fast times. Further details will be revealed about the run course and finish line in the near future.

Ironman Western Australia offers 40 qualifying slots to the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship. Entries are set to close on Jun. 30, however at the current rate the event will be sold out within days. Sign up quick to avoid disappointment.
