Aussie Day In Abu Dhabi

Yesterday, Clayton Fettell, Mel Rollison and I travelled out to Yas Marina Circuit (home of the Grand Prix) with the IMG London team to do some interviews and filming for the Live TV show for the Abu Dhabi triathlon. We got to go out on the track where the athletes geared up and did some “hot laps” on the bikes. Clayto was first on his new Giant bike and man he was burning rubber. He was like a kid on Christmas morning.

To ride on this track is out of this world and something I have been looking forward to. It was unreal”.

Clayton wound up the Giant coming into the main straight and had all there in amazement at the speed he was travelling, but everyone knows the power of Clayto.

Melissa Rollison (world 70.3 Champion) was next onto the track and the pocket sized dynamo pulled out some great speed as well as she flew around the track. I wish the whole race was on the track on Saturday. It is so smooth and fast.

Next this old commentator jumped on Clayto’s Giant and wound it up around the track. Those there watching believe that my home straight finish speed was above Clayto’s  but due to technical issue with computers my speed was not recorded. Think I was robbed. I leave it to you guys….

Early this morning the rest of the Aussie boys were around the hotel and it was great to see Leon Griffin (Griff), Paul Ambrose and Luke Bell loking forward to the show down on Saturday. Nikki Butterfield is looking fit as well.

Signing off guys.
