Clayton Fettell bought his trademark racing to New Hampshire which involves dominating on the swim, putting in a blistering bike, and seeing if he can hold on in the run. He swam 23:05 with defending Ironman 70.3 Mooseman champion, Ukraine’s Max Kriat 2:22 back and the rest of the chasers a further 2:30 back.

Fettell then rode the best bike of the day posting a 2:18:33 – 4:30 ahead of the next fastest rider. His tactics payed off today, with a 9:48 lead over second placed Bordine, it was unlikely that he was ever going to be caught on the run.  In fact Fettel was able to extend his lead on the run to put in a dominating wire to wire performance eventually finishing 13:18 ahead, posting a 4:00:10. Kriat was able to get up into second and Canadian Bordine held on to claim third.
