Boardman Bikes launches all-new Elite Series flagship triathlon bike platform – AiR/TTE

According to the team at Boardman Bikes ‘Evolution is here’ as they launch the all-new Elite Series flagship bike platform – AiR/TTE

Today on the main stage at the Kona expo and after 3 years of intense development Boardman Bikes launched its Boardman Elite Series flagship aero bike platform – the AiR/TTE. The all-new aerodynamic Time Trial and triathlon frame heralds a dynamic evolutionary progression, capitalising on the latest cutting edge CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling and design and technologies, derived from F1.

The AiR/TTE benefits from a striking and seamless design, utilising fully integrated handlebar and stem system to optimise airflow and all round performance capabilities.

This looks
The new TT looks sharp

“The new AiR/TTE has a visible DNA link to its predecessor – the 2012 Ironman World Championship winning bike. The new model has evolved to include a fully internal front brake, internal cabling and fully integrated handlebar and stem system – there’s not a cable, nut or bolt in sight. The mechanic friendly design boasts huge variation capabilities – with only two allen keys needed to make all the adjustments. The whole design process has been an emotional and full-on process of design, test, redefine, re-test and has involved a variety of new technologies never used in the cycling industry before. Developed from the >B56 Boardman R&D development centre with input from all of our Elite athletes at every stage of the evolution. The improved aerodynamics came through new laser body scanning technology and CFD design to produce improvements of over 20%.” States Chris Boardman R&D Director Boardman Bikes.

The AiR/TTE is very much designed to provide adjustability and fit options; the frameset can be either mechanical or electronic.

Pricing and availability will be released on the 7th November at the Boardman Bikes Elite Series Launch.
