Nowra Triathlon Festival January 19 – Enticer, Sprint and Olympic Distance

The Elite Energy triseries Nowra triathlon is now established as the event to blow the cobwebs out after a season of excess. Catering to all levels from absolute beginner with the enticer triathlon to the professional race at the head of the Olympic distance triathlon with the sprint triathlon for those wanting to race the middle distance.

The day is one of the best at this time of year with Elite Energy catering to all levels with three races on the same day offering something for everyone.

Set on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, Nowra is an easy drive from Sydney and Wollongong. The race course has been described as fast and flat, with a picturesque bike leg heading out along the rich river flat country and returning to run across the river over Nowra’s famous bridge.

There is usually a quick swim with the current in the river. We checked the river out yesterday and the jellyfish are not there in the numbers we saw last year. Additionally Elite Energy have confirmed that the Olympic distance athletes will be taken down to the swim start for a straight line swim along the banks of the river. There is a dead flat bike course and a fast run to finish the race off. Last year we saw some huge crowds along the run course that made the run and exciting part of the race.

Get back into the swing of racing early in the New Year and make your news year’s resolution a commitment by registering today!
