Bondi Rescue’s Adriel Young and Andrew Reid interview after swimming with ITU squad

Two of the Bondi Rescue lifeguards who have developed a passion for triathlon decided to tag along with the Wollgongong Wizards ITU training squad on their regular Friday morning open water swim at North Wollongong Beach.

They soon discovered that the speed that these guys and girls swim at is a lot faster in real life than watching on TV.

As Reidy put it ‘it was like swimming in a school of salmon’ and decided after one loop of the rectangle that he had had enough. Bacon lasted a little longer.
