Kate Bevilaqua has finished 6th at Ironman Lanzarote held in Spain's Canary Islands. Kate was 5mins down on eventual winner Catriona Morrison after the swim leg but put in a fast ride to be in a good position at T2. Bevilaqua's run ended up being a bit too slow to hold
Kate Bevilaqua has finished 6th at Ironman Lanzarote held in Spain’s Canary Islands. Kate was 5mins down on eventual winner Catriona Morrison after the swim leg but put in a fast ride to be in a good position at T2. Bevilaqua’s run ended up being a bit too slow to hold out Morrison, Louise Collins, Nicole Woysch and Bella Bayliss.
Something to note about Morrison’s win was that she waited on the side of the road for 30mins waiting to have a broken chain fixed. Whilst she only won on paper by under two minutes in reality her performance was dominating in this race.
