Full Australian Sprint Results from 2011 Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Grand Final Beijing

Twelve Australians podiumed in the ITU Sprint distance world champs in Beijing last weekend with five crowned World Champions. Congratulations to Luke Farrell, Clint Van Beveren, Mick Maroney, Nicky Western and Jane Mountford. Luke Farrell had the fifth fastest swim overall. It looks like Mick Maroney was the fastest Australian on the bike leg with thirteenth fastest overall and Daniel Coleman had the fastest run split overall at 15:55.
Once again congratulations to the twelve medalists and to all sixty Australians who were selected to represent their country.
Special mention also to Laura Siddall. Whilst racing for GBR Laura is essentially an Aussie who lives and trains in Sydney. Under the expert coaching of Spot Anderson and Bondi Fit Laura won the W30 age group world championship (result and times below).
