International Triathlon Union confirms full 2016 World Triathlon Series calendar
Following the release of the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series calendar last month, ITU is pleased to confirm dates and distances for each race. The 2016 WTS schedule is now complete with the addition of Cape Town to the 2016 schedule, and also contains confirmed dates for both Gold Coast and Edmonton
Following the release of the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series calendar last month, ITU is pleased to confirm dates and distances for each race.
The 2016 WTS schedule is now complete with the addition of Cape Town to the 2016 schedule, and also contains confirmed dates for both Gold Coast and Edmonton.
The 2016 Series will stop in nine cities across five continents, with six races featuring Olympic distance races, while three events will offer sprints.
Yokohama remains the last WTS event to score Olympic Qualification Points, while Hamburg will serve as the final WTS event ahead of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The German city will also host the Mixed Relay World Championships.
