The first-ever K-Swiss Pau Hana Sunset 10km Run & Walk is attracting the support of a number of pros who are using the event as a pre-Ironman training run while also giving back to the Hawaii community by supporting an invaluable cause.
Pros that have signed up to run include Tim DeBoom, Luke Bell, Belinda Granger, Hillary Biscay, Matt Lieto, Joe Gambles, Fraser Cartmell and Bree Wee.
Current Womens Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae and boyfriend and fellow pro, Tim ODonnell, will also be there to cheer on participants and hand out prizes. Other pros rumored to be attending (and possibly racing) include Maik Twelsiek, Joanna Lawn and Cameron Brown.
The 10km run is taking part on Mauna Lanis famous Francis H. Ii Brown North golf course, which is the location of the Hawaii Ironman 70.3 run.
The event is about bringing people together, celebrating another exciting year in Hawaii, enjoying some friendly competition and supporting the American Cancer Society and their tremendous services that assist Hawaii Islands cancer patients.
K-Swiss has thrown its support behind the event by donating K-Swiss dream bags for category winners and t-shirts for all participants. Numerous other prizes will be up for grabs too.
After the run, participants and friends and family are invited to enjoy a fun-filled awards-ceremony and a Pau Hana (meaning after work in Hawaiian) outdoor BBQ with live music.
