Novotel Twin Waters Resort to Host the Salomon Tre-X Off Road Triathlon Series

It’s Triathlon… AND IT’S HARDCORE!..& now there’s a touch of 4 star luxury

One of Australia’s toughest off road events and hardcore triathlons is set to offer participants a fantastic mix of kick ass adventure with 4 star luxury as spectacular Novotel Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast prepares to host round four of the 2010/11 national series on the 29th & 30th of January, 2011.
Race Director Simon Lazenby from In 2 Adventure said “This event has been three years in development and adds a new diverse format to an already high action national series.   The custom built mountain bike course and all new ‘Back 2 Back’ Format for the long course will throw up a significant challenge to our long course competitors that will push them up to, and beyond their limits.”

Competitors in the long course series will be taking on the new ‘Back 2 Back’ format and will complete a gruelling 500m Swim “15km Mountain Bike “6km Trail Run on Saturday afternoon and then back up first thing Sunday Morning to do it all again.   The best cumulative time over the two days will be crowned back 2 back champ.

Combine this with the spectacular backdrop of Novotel Twin Waters Resort and the Sunshine Coast Beaches and you’ve got an event that is a MUST DO this season.
The event includes special accommodation packages for competitors and a not to be missed Celebration Pasta Buffet on Saturday evening.   There’ll be loads of time to socialise with other competitors as we catch up with all the days’ action and the Back 2 Back standings and ‘Carb Up’ for Sunday’s racing.   The bar will even be open… for the less competitive types!

However, if you’re not exactly into full on hardcore action, that’s OK, the weekend also includes a short course event on Sunday morning with competitors completing a 350m Swim “10km Mountain Bike “4km Trail Run.

And for our budding Junior off-road athletes there will also be the Teaser Course giving them the chance to race a 150m Swim, 5km Mountain Bike and 1km Trail Run.
