Aviva Ironman 70.3 Triathlon 2010 – Singapore Results – Men

By Karl Hayes

Australia’s Craig Alexander has overcome the theft of his bikes to win the Aviva Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Singapore. Alexander was in the lead bunch out of the water and in to T1. South African, James Cunnama made some ground on Alexander with a 2:07:36 bike split (0:2:12 faster than Alexander) and put in a very fast 1:16:02 half marathon but it was not enough to edge out Alexander. Australia’s Aaron Farlow was a further 0:1:12 behind Cunnama and took out 3rd overall.

Craig Alexander recently won the Australian Long Course Triathlon in Jervis Bay with Pete Jacobs and Chris Kemp coming 2nd and 3rd respectively.

James Cunnama had 4 podiums last year including a 2nd at Ironman Austria – 2nd (8h14:18) and a 3rd at Alpe D’Huez Triathlon, France.

Farlow had an impressive 2009 with a 1st at the International Noumea triathlon and 1st in the Canberra Half Ironman.
