There is less than one day to go until entries open for the 25th Anniversary of the 2014 Port of Tauranga Half on Wednesday May 1st.

Last week the event was confirmed by Triathlon New Zealand it will again carry National Long Distance Championship status and World Championship qualification, which further adds to its iconic status. 2014 is going to be a big year, with festival events added to the line up to encourage and celebrate 25 years with all the past athletes, supporters, sponsors, volunteers and spectators. The thousands of people who get in behind the event year after year makes it the amazing event it is and to have had the support from the Port of Tauranga for 24 out of the 25 years is a unique relationship and one we are very proud of.

Entries open  on May 1st at 9am for TriNZ Tribe members and 10am (8am Australia Eastern Standard Time) for the general public. Over the past week the preferential waitlisted athletes have had the opportunity to commit to the event and the uptake has been impressive.

Demand will continue to be high as the event opens on May 1st, so do not delay in securing your place in triathlon history.
