Panama City Beach and Florida’s Northwest Gulf of Mexico coastline played host to the 2021 IRONMAN Florida triathlon on Saturday, November 6. With many of triathlon’s best on hand, two-time reigning IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Gustav Iden (NOR) topped the men’s field with an impressive victory in his debut full-distance IRONMAN triathlon performance with a finishing time of 7:42:57. In the women’s professional race, Heather Jackson (USA) earned a hard-fought victory with a finishing time of 8:52:57. The 2021 Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida triathlon also featured live event coverage that was on Facebook Watch via the IRONMAN Now channel.
Finishing just behind Iden in second on the men’s professional podium was Lionel Sanders (CAN), who came in with a finishing time of 7:48:50 and Robert Kallin (SWE) who rounded out the podium in third with a time of 8:08:13. In the professional women’s race, Skye Moench (USA) took second in 8:56:36, while Laura Zimmerman (DEU) finished in third with a time of 9:08:01
