Ben Allen and Jacqui Slack are two of the racing greats of international cross triathlon and In 2 Adventure are so proud to announce that this renowned duo will be racing at the Australian Championships in Bendigo on December 13 and 14.
Ben is the reigning Australian National Champion and Jacqui the Great Britain National Champion, both athletes hold a number of prestigious international titles including a 3rd place podium for Ben and 9th place for Jacqui in the recent 2014 World Championships in Maui.
Two Very Special People
Event Director Robyn Lazenby told us that “At the TreX Series we have always striven to build a culture based around participants taking away a special experience from the event. Not just the experience of winning, but the experience of camaraderie, of achieving personal goals, and respecting and celebrating the goals and achievements of each individual. Ben and Jacqui are two highly accomplished athletes, however, it is what comes along with that, which truly inspired us to pursue a partnership with them. Ben and Jacqui are two amazing champions who shared our love of the sport, but most importantly share the vision and values to which we aspire.â€
Free Training Clinics with the Champions
Ben and Jacqui have a true love of cross triathlon and are keen to share their knowledge, skills and passion with others including our young up and coming champions, and as such will be hosting free training clinics in Bendigo for participants leading up to the Australian Championships.
This is an enormous opportunity for our athletes and the people of Bendigo to get up close and personal and learn from the two of the best in the world.
A Word from Ben & Jacqui
“In2Adventure are taking Off-Road Triathlon in Australia to a new level and we are honoured to have been named as ambassadors to help guide them through what’s going to be one of the biggest seasons of racing.
Simon and Robyn (In2Adventure) are two fantastic and passionate people, very enthusiastic about providing everyone an equal opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, be healthy, active and most of all, have fun.
Jacqui and I love their dedication and the hard work they have shown so far, starting small and progressively building bigger and better events each time. It shows that they provide a race experience that enables everyone to achieve their very best every time. They are very open to new ideas and will always put the athlete’s best interest first.
Jacqui and I bring with us a wealth of knowledge, having raced professionally on the Xterra Off-Road World Tour, as well as the ITU World Cup Triathlon circuit, French Grand Prix, Adventure Racing Teams and numerous other multi-sport events worldwide.
We have raced in 26 different countries in 1 year and have seen and experienced the good and bad races. We are very excited to be part of the In2Adventure family and look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience to help provide the best racing adventures for everyone that toes the start line at one of their events this summer.â€
