Oct 14, 2012 Pete Jacobs wins the Ironman World Championship 2012 Pete Jacobs has pulled off the 6th win by an Australian male in a row. Jacobs did not waste energy trying to get a break in the swim. Instead he stayed with the main riders and made sure he was always covering the strong runners. There was a large contingent heading out of T1 behind Andy Potts and this was perfect for Jacobs. Luke McKenzie was also there along with David Dellow and Craig Alexander. McKenzie set the early pace on the bike and Jacobs was right there.
